             SHOW COMMITTEE REPORT

 Yay!! It is almost show season and I am enjoying the longer daylight hours riding and currying the winter hair off my horse.

The link to the Show Conditions, Class List, Entry Forms and Stall/RV Reservation Form is included in this newsletter. A full entry packet is now online at rhanw.com.  Simply click on picture above Slide In to access it. Please refer to the Show Conditions for details on the show, rules for Year End Awards and club classes, etiquette for the warm up pen and emergency procedures.

The format of our 1st two shows in 2018 is changed from last year.  There will be a limited number of paid warm-ups on Friday and Saturday morning beginning at 7:00 am.  The classes on those two days will begin at 10:00 am.  Classes will begin at 8:00 am on Sunday.

As always, we need volunteers to help run our shows.  If you are willing to help please contact Gloria Henning at glomich123@aol.com or PM Gloria on Facebook.  We will be offering show credits for your time as a volunteer again this year but would very much appreciate it if you choose to forego those credits to help with the club finances.

Points earned at all three of our shows this year will count towards qualifying for the NRHA Affiliate Finals.  The 3rd show will be the Reining in the Park at the beautiful Washington State Horse Park. There will be paid warm-ups on Wednesday, Aug 1st, and the classes will be Aug 2nd, 3rd and 4th with a Ranch Riding Clinic on Sunday, Aug 5th, presented by Debra Cooper, our judge and AQHA World Champion Ranch Riding Champion.  Cost of the clinic will be $175 per rider (limited to 15 riders) and $25 to audit. This show will feature an NRHA 3 Year Old Futurity and the RHANW Stallion Stakes Futurity. The amount of added money in the NRHA Futurity will depend on sponsorship dollars, so if you know someone who may be interested in being a sponsor, please contact Katrena Hauger at katrena125@gmail.com.  We will be finalizing the classlist at the next RHANW meeting on April 7th.
