 SHOW COMMITTEE REPORT

Time flies when you're having fun! It's hard to believe that our final show of the year is only a few weeks away. Let's all meet  at the Reining in the Park to celebrate a great year.

The format for the Reining in the Park is different from our first two shows. In addition to the Derby and Futurity classes, there will be $1,000 added and a Morrison Trohy up for grabs in the NRHA Non Pro and Open classes. The show will begin with paid warmups at noon on Wednesday followed by a welcome dinner for all exhibitors at 7pm.  And the always pawpular dog race will be run during lunch break on Saturday.  We will finish up with a Ranch Riding Clnic presented by AQHA Ranch Riding World Champion Debra Cooper on Sunday .  Please note that the start time for the Ranch Riding Clinic has been changed to 7 am.  If you have considered doing ranch riding or if you simply want to improve your horsemanship skills, this clinic will be of benefit to you.

If you have not already sent in your RV and stall reservations, I encourage you to "git r done."  The Washington State Horse Park has lots of stalls, but RV spots with hookups are limited.  However, if you miss out on getting a spot with hookups there is plenty of room to "dry camp."

There will be a food truck onsite providing food and espresso beginning Wednesday afternoon through Saturday.  Show participants can also ride on the trails and take advantage of the beautiful setting.  So even though there may be a few inconveniences due to the fact that the Horse Park is still a work in process, I am excited to hold our final show of the season at this new venue.

A huge thanks to everyone who has worked hard to make 2018 a great year! Y'all rock!!
